"One of my career goals in my internship at the Dubuque Chamber of Commerce is to improve my interpersonal communication skills within the business environment. Attending Chamber Business PM's I have received firsthand experience at doing just that. Being a part of this event made me realize that networking is the prominent thing to get your name out there and into business for future employment. You hear your professors say day in and day out, "network, network, and network." It was not until this day that I actually learned that they are right. Establishing new networks that have helped me learn that I can put myself out in the business world and create more and more networks to help find options for jobs in the future. I have gained more knowledge on how to approach these people and create a good name for myself while being honest about who I am as a person and what I could potentially offer their business in the future. It is true; all you have to do is network, network and network!"
