Academic Internships
Academic internships engage students in and outside of the classroom. This form of experiential learning puts students into learning environments where ideas are tested and career-ready skills are developed.
Through these experiences, students gain insights into the professional world, acquire invaluable on-the-job experience and learn more about themselves. Students discover hidden talents, sharpen their competencies and learn first-hand about the interpersonal complexities that abound in the workplace.
Students face these interpersonal and intellectual challenges by applying classroom theories to practical problems. Internships allow students to investigate work roles, environments and career possibilities and, in some cases, provide a valuable service to the community.
