Temporary COVID Pharmacist
The Retail Pharmacist accepts the responsibility and accountability for the accurate control of and appropriate dispensing of all prescription and non-prescription medications. Ensures appropriate counseling of patients regarding their medications
Completion of the requirements for a B.S. or PharmD in Pharmacy at an accredited college of pharmacy is required. A current State of Iowa Pharmacist license. Maintenance of continuing education credits every 2 years as required by the Iowa State Board of Pharmacy. Previous practical experience in a retail or ambulatory care pharmacy is preferred. Certification in Immunization Administration is preferred. Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training is required within 6 months of hire and every 5 years thereafter.
