The Sinsinawa Dominicans employ approximately 150 people in occupations ranging from accounting, clerical, food service, graphic design, housekeeping, human resources, maintenance, nursing, and public relations.
The cook is responsible for preparing food for house meals and group functions according to menu, production records and applicable recipes; ensuring production of consistently high quality foods while maintaining budgeted food costs and monitoring production to avoid potential waste of food and/or loss of quality; following procedures for safe and sanitary food handling, storage and safety; assisting with purchasing kitchen supplies and food; and assisting in training of employees. The cook is also responsible for supervising food service employees and production in the absence of the food service manager/assistant manager.
The schedule for this position includes working every other Sunday 6:00am - 2:30pm. Every other Saturday 10:30am - 7pm. Monday 6am -2:30pm. Thursday and Friday 10:30am - 7:00pm.
We are seeking candidates with a minimum of two years cooking experience. Supervisory experience is preferred. Ability to lift, push, or pull 50 pounds is required.
