We are excited to announce an opening on our River Valley Capital Insurance support team for a Receptionist.  The successful candidate will have at least six months’ experience in providing clerical office support in a non-call center office setting.  Two years or more experience is a huge plus!

Successful candidates must be experienced in an office setting providing clerical office support.  The best candidates will have two or more years’ experience working as clerical support in an office environment.

  • Greet visitors or callers and handle their inquiries or direct them to the appropriate persons according to their needs.

  • Operate office equipment, such as fax machines, copiers, or phone systems and arrange for repairs when equipment malfunctions. 
  • Complete forms in accordance with company procedures. 
  • Schedule and confirm appointments for clients, customers, or supervisors. 
  • Operate electronic mail systems and coordinate the flow of information, internally or with other organizations. 
  • Open, read, route, and distribute incoming mail or other materials and answer routine letters. 
  • Conduct searches to find needed information, using such sources as the Internet. 
  • Manage projects or contribute to committee or team work. 
  • Mail newsletters, promotional material, or other information.

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
  • Associate's Degree (two year college or technical school) Preferred, Field of Study: Business


  • 6 plus months of experience in clerical office (non-call center) administration.
  • 2 or more years’ experience in clerical office administration (non-call center) preferred.

Computer Skills: Experience with Microsoft Office Suite. 

Certifications & Licenses: Not applicable. 

Other Requirements: Administrative experience in sales, insurance, or transportation highly desired.
