Medical Associates Clinic offers several locations from which to seek medical care, including facilities at 1500 Associates Drive, 1000 Langworthy, and 1940 Elm Street in Dubuque, Iowa; as well as facilities in Bellevue, Cascade, Dyersville, Elkader, and Monona, Iowa; Cuba City, and Platteville, Wisconsin; and Elizabeth and Galena, Illinois.
Tri-State Surgery Center is currently looking for full or part time Central Sterilization technician. Certification in Central Sterilization preferred, Surgical Technician experience helpful. Must be an energetic, self motivated team oriented individual with excellent communication skills and be able to relate positively with others. Availability and flexibility in work scheduling required.
Performs proper cleaning, sterilization, and storage of instrumentation between uses and when newly purchases.
Maintains instruments and supplies in accordance with written policies and procedures that are in compliance with various regulatory and accrediting agencies and by the recommendations of the manufacturers. (IFU’s). Able to track and review items in electronic database.
Prints preference cards and pulls cases for the following days procedures, including prioritizing any instruments needs.
Assists with the development, monitoring, and record keeping of the standards of assigned areas pertaining to the operating room, sterilization and decontamination, and corresponding ancillary areas. Monitoring includes but is not limited to mechanical, chemical and biological testing of the sterilization process.
All instruments (newly purchased, brought in from vendors and/or used during a surgical procedure are washed, and sterilized or disinfected according the manufacture instructions for use (IFU’s).
Assists material coordinator with receiving of supplies.
Perform routine cleaning and orderliness of the central sterilization area.
Complete all other assigned projects and duties.
