Regional Account Manager
An established industry leader in the specialty coatings industry serving customers worldwide is looking for an experienced sales professional to join our team immediately in order to help us continue our rapid growth. The ideal candidate will both manage existing key customer relationships and develop new customers through a combination of direct and channel sales activities.
RIE Coatings, with facilities in both Minnesota [HQ] and Iowa, has served customers for decades in industries as diverse as construction, agriculture, recreational vehicles, aerospace, and the military. With our customer focused approach on solving problems through the application of liquid coatings we have established ourselves as one of the premier suppliers to the customers who we serve.
The ideal candidate will be located within a geographic territory comprising of Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Illinois, Missouri, and Oklahoma. Experience in selling via channel partners or direct to a diverse customer base of OEM’s is preferred. Strong preference will be given to candidates who have a proven track record of sustained sales growth and performance selling engineered solutions within this geography. A Bachelor’s degree is also a strong preference, along with excellent communication and presentation skills. A sense of urgency to both sell and serve the customer is a requirement!
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Accountable for both sales growth and ongoing customer satisfaction: organic account growth and development of new business are equally valued.
Development of account strategy designed to grow the territory by double digit percentages annually.
Actively manage sales funnel opportunities with an eye on timely and improved close rates.
Understand the competitive landscape and focus on clients who value the engineered solutions which we offer and who are interested in long-term supplier relationships.
This position offers a competitive base salary, an uncapped commission plan, expense reimbursement, and a full benefit package including both medical and dental insurance and a 401k plan. The candidate will work out of a remote home office and should expect to travel roughly 50% of the time to both customer and company locations via car or plane throughout the territory.
