Assistant Football Coach / Recruiting Coordinator

University Of Wisconsin-Platteville, Platteville, WI

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville, Athletics department seeks applicants for the position of Assistant Football Coach/Recruiting Coordinator. This is a full-time, 9-month basis appointment, offering excellent benefits and additional summer work opportunities. The starting annual compensation for this position will be up to $30,000.

Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelors degree from accredited institution
  • Minimum one (1) year football coaching experience on the collegiate level
  • Demonstrated successful recruiting experience
  • Ability to represent the University and all sport programs.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of computer applications for recruiting and video exchange and breakdown
  • Organizational skills
  • Event planning and camp experience
  • Fund raising experience
  • Ability to work weekends & evenings and also to travel

Preferred

  • Masters degree from accredited institution
  • Coaching experience with 3-4 defense

Responsibilities:

Duties include, but are not limited to, coaching defensive backs, recruiting qualified student athletes, use of recruiting software, fund raising, camp operations, scouting, film breakdown, video exchange and associated software, developing community support for the program, monitoring academic progress of student-athletes. Will also serve as recruiting coordinator focusing on central Iowa and Des Moines recruiting for all UW-Platteville sport programs.
