Medical Associates Clinic, located in Dubuque, Iowa is seeking a doctoral level psychologist (Ph.D./Psy.D.) to join our well-established, thriving multidisciplinary practice in the Department of Psychiatry & Psychology. This full-time generalist position primarily consists of individual outpatient assessment and psychotherapy, with occasional opportunities for inpatient consultation. Our Psychologists are supported by a crisis line and prescriber coverage for inpatient admissions, and do not have after hours or weekend call requirements. Interested candidates must be licensed or license eligible in Iowa and be listed on the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology.
Role: Assess client's needs, abilities or behavior using a variety of methods. Devise and monitor appropriate programs of treatment, including therapy, counseling or advice in collaboration with colleagues.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
85% Provide psychological services, including diagnostic assessment and psychotherapeutic intervention. Additional roles may include therapy addressing relationship or family concerns, group therapy, psychological assessment, and/or cognitive testing, dependent upon individual areas of interest, experience, and competence.
5% Consult with outpatient providers, within and outside the Department of Psychiatry and Psychology.
5% Provide psychological services for medical or psychiatric inpatients, as needed.
5% Complete all other assigned projects and duties, including reports, administrative tasks and attending meetings.
