- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field required, Master’s degree preferred.
- Current licensure to practice in Wisconsin as a Registered Nurse required.
- Prior experience as a Nurse Executive preferred.
- The ability to demonstrate leadership, managerial ability, good interpersonal relationships, and the application of sound administrative principles required.
We are seeking a full-time (40 hour/week) Chief Clinical Officer to work days, Monday- Friday.
The Chief Clinical Officer directs, supervises and coordinates functions and activities in the hospital Patient Care Services area. Works with CEO and other Executive Team members related to the operation of the hospital, recommends changes in policy, facilities, equipment and programs in order to achieve the institution’s objectives and to provide leadership, direction and administration of operations.
The Chief Clinical Officer has the authority and responsibility for establishing standards of nursing practice within the entire Southwest Health organization. In collaboration with the Director or Nursing and other nursing leaders, the Chief Clinical Officer develops, implements, and is accountable for the nursing budget. The Chief Clinical Officer and nursing leadership personnel also collaborate with other hospital personnel to provide input into the regular review of the hospital mission, strategic plans, and policies.
The Chief Clinical Officer and nursing leaders participate in planning, promoting, and conducting hospital-wide performance improvement as outlined in the hospital performance improvement program. Registered Nurses also participate in performance improvement through unit based performance improvement, as well as interdepartmental performance improvement activities. Input from safety, customer surveys, patient complaints and incidental resources are utilized to detect problems with patient care and to initiate performance improvement activities and/or direct interventions.
