Heartland Financial USA, Inc. (Heartland) is seeking a Retirement Plan Services Compliance Officer to join our growing team in Dubuque, IA.  The RPS Compliance Officer is responsible for overseeing all ongoing activities related to the development, implementation, maintenance of, and adherence to ERISA policies. Responsible for remaining current on all IRS and DOL regulations pertaining to retirement plan administration. Provide training, technical assistance and actively support development of new products and services. This individual directly supervises 3-5 employees specializing in retirement plan conversion and documentation. RPS Compliance Officer must keep abreast of and communicate new legislation, Technical Advice Memos, Field Assistance Bulletins and pertinent litigation.

 

Qualifications:

  1. 7-10 years of experience in qualified retirement plans with direct emphasis on 401(k) and defined contribution plans.
  2. Extensive knowledge of plan design, compliance and testing.
  3. Bachelor’s Degree; J.D. preferred. QPA, CPC, ERPA or APA designations highly preferred.
  4. Strong knowledge of plan design, compliance and testing.
