Clarke University, located in scenic Dubuque, IA, invites applications for a full-time, Director of Field Education for the Bachelors in Social Work Program and the Masters in Social Work Program. The Director of Field Education serves on a 12 month contract. This is a three year Assistant Professor appointment with the possibility of moving to a tenure clinical-track position.
Clarke University is a Catholic, Liberal Arts University founded in 1843 by Mary Frances Clarke and the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The University's approximate 1,100 students are enrolled in undergraduate programs of study in the arts and sciences, fine arts and pre-professional offerings, with graduate programs at the master's and doctoral levels. Clarke offers 40 majors through its traditional undergraduate program and five majors through its accelerated hybrid degree program for adult learners. Candidates must possess a Masters in Social Work from an accredited social work program with a minimum of two years post MSW experience in the field of social work. The successful candidate must also demonstrate a commitment to collaboration across disciplines and the flexibility to meet the changing teaching and service needs found at a small university grounded in the liberal arts tradition.
