UnityPoint Health Finley Hospital is a 126-bed community hospital. We employ more than 800 full-and-part-time employees. We are looking for someone that has daytime availability during the week and able to work 1 weekend per month. This position is a PRN position, which means that the hours vary per required need. There are no set guaranteed hours for this position.
The Physical Therapy Tech will work with the therapists and front office staff in the daily operations of the department, including ordering patient care/office supplies as approved, and communicating with patients, families, nurses and therapists. The Tech performs modalities as requested and supervised by the Physical Therapist/Physical Therapy Assistant. Assists with scheduling patients, maintaining good patient flow, transporting and transferring patients, cleaning/disinfecting equipment, keeping the treatment area stocked and clean, and answering phones as needed.
A High School diploma or GED is required. Must have excellent communication skills as you will be working closely with patients and other health care professionals. Must have a valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance.
