Position Hours: Every other weekend and holiday, 10:30 am-7:00 pm.  Monday-Friday, varied hours of 6:00 am-2:30 pm, 6:00 am-12:30 pm, 1:30 pm-7:00 pm or 10:30 am-7:00 pm

The Dietary Assistant assists in providing high quality and appropriate food service to meet the nutritional requirements of all age groups from infants to the elderly by helping serve foods.  The Cook's Assistant assists in providing high quality and appropriate food service to meet the nutritional requirements of all age groups from infants to the elderly by preparing and serving salads and cold foods.  May be trained to fill in on baker’s shift as needed, which includes serving customers in employee/visitor cafeteria. Under direct supervision of the Chef Coordinator, the Cook functions as part of the Food Production Team to produce consistently high quality food for patients, personnel, and visitors.  This position will also need to become ServSafe certified.

 No experience required. Formal or on-the-job training in institutional quantity food production preferred. Six months experience desirable. High school diploma or GED preferred or minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
