The City of Dubuque, Iowa (population 58,000) invites applications for the position of Sanitation Driver. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy trucks, including attached mechanical equipment, in the collection, hauling and unloading of garbage, trash, large items, recyclables, yard debris and food scraps. The successful candidate will possess some experience in the operation of medium and heavy trucks; experience working with a diverse workforce and population; a high school diploma or its equivalent or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the essential knowledge, skills and abilities. The City offers an annual salary range of $48,256 to $54,100, and an attractive benefit package. The Civil Service Commission will be conducting a written entrance examination for this position on September 10, 2019, at 6:00 p.m. in the Five Flags Civic Center located at Fourth and Locust Streets in Dubuque.
