PAYROLL COORDINATOR

Truck Country, one of the largest Freightliner dealerships, in the US, has an opening for a Payroll Coordinator at our corporate office in Dubuque.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyze, prepare and input weekly payroll data
  • Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal wage and hour laws
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and year end reports
  • Preparing payroll journal entries for the general ledger
  • Establish new employer accounts with federal and state agencies as needed
  • Oversee compliance with wage garnishments
  • Preparing and issuing manual check payments
  • Reviewing and reconciling outstanding employee loans
  • Other duties as assigned

Job requirements include:

  • Ability to think logically and prioritize tasks
  • High level of organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to work individually as well as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills including, Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally

 

Previous payroll experience, or a 2 year degree is preferred, but not required.
