Manager of Ophthalmology/Optical Department
Medical Associates is hiring a Practice Manager/Administrator for our Ophthalmology Department. Medical Associates is a multispecialty group practice with an ophthalmology department comprised of 3 locations including optical. Staffing includes 6 ophthalmologists, 6 opticians and about 40 ophthalmology staff. Specialties include: retina, pediatrics, lasik, glaucoma, cataract, cornea, and plastics.
- Manage business operations including financial reports and budget oversight for both optical and ophthalmology
- Oversee clinical staff (approximately 40 employees) which includes motivate and develop employees, employee discipline and performance reviews, etc.
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving ability
- Work collaboratively with department physicians
- Maintain relationships with external business associates, including vendors, insurance carriers, and referring physicians
- Ability to work well in a fast paced environment including ability to navigate electronic ophthalmology technology
This a full time position, Monday through Friday daytime hour position.
Healthcare management experience required, Ophthalmology management experience preferred but not required.
