Consumer Lending Representative (Consumer Lending Processor)

As the Consumer Lending Representative you will provide exceptional quality service to members and potential members regarding loan related products and services. Members and staff look to you to answer loan related questions by phone, email, and face to face. You will use your excellent organizational skills to process and fund all consumer loans.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide exceptional quality service by recognizing member and potential member needs and cross-sell and educate them on appropriate credit union products and services
  • Assists members and staff by answer loan related questions via phone, email, and face to face
  • Process member service requests from branches (title releases, title changes, mortgage releases, etc.)
  • Articulate loan interest calculations and payments to members
  • Meet with members for closing and explain all documentation and ensure that all loan documentation is completed properly
  • Process and fund consumer loan products (auto loan, personal loan, VISA, etc.)
  • Audit files to ensure that all loan documentation is accurate and complete and are in compliance with existing regulations, including Dupaco Community Credit Union loan policies and procedures
  • Pull paid loan reports and send letters and applicable paperwork to members
  • Assist in training employees on loan processing procedures and technology as needed
  • Assist with Call Center overflow calls
  • Proactively adhere to policies and procedures within area of responsibility
  • Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (ie. GED)
  • Two years of college or equivalent experience in the financial industry preferred
  • Outstanding member service skills to provide quality service to members, potential members and coworkers
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to adjust your communication style to your audience and handle difficult conversations in a tactful and professional manner
  • Excellent computer skills with the ability to navigate between multiple programs and utilize dual computer screens
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is essential
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work
  • A positive attitude and desire to work in a fast paced team oriented work environment
  • To promote a professional image of the credit union while providing outstanding service to members, potential members, and coworkers

WORK SCHEDULE:

  • Monday – Friday: 8:20 AM - 5:30 PM
  • Every-other Friday: 9:20 AM - 6:00 PM
  • Every-third Saturday 8:20 AM - 12:30 PM
