The Assistant Director for the International Programs Office provides leadership to the International Programs Offices including the areas of International Student & Scholar Services, Education Abroad, International Exchanges and general internationalization of UW-Platteville.  The salary range for this position is $53,000-$60,000.

  • Supervise all professional staff within the IPO office as well as student staff in the daily function and flow of the office.
  • Oversee the recruitment of degree seeking international students to the UW-Platteville campuses to include international travel, building relationships and partnerships abroad and executing agreements.
  • Meet annual international student enrollment targets through recruitment and retention of students.  Analyze data to achieve international student enrollment goals.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of international recruitment and the development a short and long-range plan.
  • Establish strategic agreements and partnerships with international high school and university officials, government agencies, educational organizations and professionals who serve international students.
  • Review all international agreements for compliance with federal immigration regulations and related campus policies.
  • Lead efforts to leverage the diversity, knowledge and relationships of the college’s existing international student, faculty, staff and alumni population in the development of a broader network to support international recruitment.
  • Oversee the development and production of outreach materials.

    Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in an International Programs office
  • Experience supervising professional staff members
  • Demonstrated success in recruiting degree seeking international students
  • Demonstrates knowledge in strategic enrollment management for both International Student Recruitment and Education Abroad areas
  • Experience with international student admissions and F and J visas
