Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who excels at project management and is comfortable leading a design team. The right person will have exceptional technical skills in the areas of land development and will also excel at business development.
> Minimum 10 years of practical experience in design of land development projects such as:
Commercial, Business, and Industrial Parks
Building Site Design
Hydraulics and Hydrology
Storm Water Management
Sediment and Erosion Control (NPDES, SWPPP)
> Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering preferred.
> Current Licensure as a Professional Engineer with the capability of obtaining multi-state licensure preferred.
> Experience in design and construction of wet and dry utilities, earthwork, and pavement.
> Experience in contract negotiation, project management, financial management, and business development.
> Working knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D preferred.
> Ability to effectively communicate with staff, clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
PROJECT RELATED RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Delivery & Technical Responsibilities
> Engineer of Record.
> Project Manager.
> Attend public and client meetings.
> Responsible for project quality assurance.
> Conduct peer reviews of others’ work.
> Oversee and assist with the submittal of regulatory agency permit applications.
> Oversee and assist with the development of studies and reports.
> Oversee preparation of detailed drawings and specifications.
> Oversee construction submittal reviews.
> Remain up-to-date in technical and regulatory aspects of discipline.
> Provide technical mentoring to engineering and technical
staff for employee development and perpetuation of expertise, including project management
Business Development & Marketing
> Develop, foster, and maintain strong and close client relationships with present and potential clients.
> Represent IIW at interviews, meetings, etc.
> Lead development of proposals and statements of qualifications for prospective projects.
> Maintain professional relationships with other principals, company personnel, regulatory agencies, and other consultants.
> Foster the Company’s culture by maintaining appropriate contact with the public, clients, and employees, in order to promote and protect the company's interests.
