ABOUT OUR HOSPITAL
UnityPoint Health Finley Hospital is a 126-bed community hospital. We employ more than 800 full-and-part-time employees. We are currently looking for either a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN to work in our Cardioloy Clinic. Work hours will be days, Monday - Friday, for 80 hours per pay period, and as needed.
UnityPoint Health - Dubuque offers an outpatient cardiovascular clinic, staffed by two board-certified cardiovascular interventionalists and a supporting Nurse Practitioner. This clinic is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am-4:30 pm, along with an after-hours answering service to help address patient needs. We evaluate and treat adult cardiovascular conditions and offer same-day appointments as needed.
Assists provider and other clinical staff with obtaining basic vital information, preparing patient for examination, treatment, and minor surgical procedures. Administers medication, other treatments, and injections as ordered by provider. Tracks and follows up on patient testing related to disease process management, schedules referrals, answers phone calls and takes appropriate messages, and makes appropriate documentation in electronic medical records. Performs phlebotomy and lab testing as needed. Assists and performs other procedures as ordered by provider.
Must have a Medical assistant education from an accredited training program, with AAMA or NCMA certification required.
Must have an active LPN license issued by the Iowa Board of Nursing.
