UnityPoint Health Finley Hospital is a 126-bed community hospital. We employ more than 800 full-and-part-time employees. We are looking for a part-time Pharmacist. Work hours will be 4 or 8 hour shifts, mainly days, with potential rotation to nights and weekends, for 32 hours per pay period.
The Pharmacist provides patient-oriented pharmacy services using a pharmaceutical care model. Provides drug information to other health care professionals, patients, and the public. Participates in and/or supervises the preparation and delivery of all medications to all patient care areas. Participates in prescription service operations. Serves as Pharmacy liaison for specific nursing units and/or hospital committees as assigned. Participates in patient care conferences as needed. Works as part of the health care team to ensure appropriate management of pain. Assumes responsibility, on a rotational basis, for coverage of day, evening, weekend and holiday shifts. Takes call, on a rotational basis, during the hours the Pharmacy is closed to provide information and return to the hospital, when necessary, to procure needed medications. All job duties shall be performed in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws, JCAHO, and professional practice standards, and policies and procedures of the health system/Pharmacy department.
Qualified candidates must hold a Pharmacist license issued by the Iowa Board of Pharmacy.
