UnityPoint Health Finley Hospital is a 126-bed community hospital. We employ more than 800 full-and-part-time employees. Finley Hospital is a not-for-profit, locally owned, regional healthcare facility part of the UnityPoint Health system. Work hours will be 9:00 am to 9:00 pm, with rotation to other shifts as needed, for 72 hours per pay period. There is a holiday and weekend rotation. This position does have call.
Assist in the care of the patient undergoing surgical intervention by performing those duties of a Surgical Technologist. Prepare patients, rooms and equipment for pending surgical procedures and assist during such procedures. Function as a member of the surgical team when adequately prepared so that optimum quality of patient care is maintained according to the philosophy and objectives of UnityPoint Health - Finley Hospital.
Successful completion of approved Surgical Technologist course required. Surgical Tech certification preferred. At least one year of prior experience preferred. Requires ability to read, write and speak English and to perform simple arithmetic calculations. Must be able to meet the physical demands as described on the job description/competency form on file in the Human Resources dept.
