We are currently recruiting for a Quality Improvement Nurse who will work with quality initiatives and medical record review!
This is a full-time position working in the Quality Improvement department at Medical Associates Health Plans (MAHP).
Implement quality improvement initiatives at Medical Associates Clinic and Health Plans. Assist with the coordination of clinical quality and patient safety measures consistent with accreditation guidelines and regulatory bodies.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Complete the submission of Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) project including but not limited to completing the Baseline Assessment tool, Health Organization Questionnaire, auditing, onsite review, and submission with the assistance of the director. Assist with Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) star rating and National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) accreditation efforts including program evaluation, education and implementation of initiatives to improve overall quality and standard scores.
Recommend and develop practice-specific strategies to enhance and improve patient quality and safety outcomes. Collaborate with the clinic healthcare team to implement strategies by actively participating in education of quality and patient safety initiatives including clinic level goals and attending departmental meetings as needed.
Act as the primary resource for staff utilization and optimization of the Population Health Registries and Health Maintenance tools.
Complete all other assigned projects and duties.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
Education: Valid RN nursing license is required.
Interpersonal Skills: The ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job. Previous experience with data analysis and reporting is preferred, or a willingness to learn.
