- Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy or recreational therapy required.
- Six months to one year of experience in psychiatric, nursing home or equivalent education and experience preferred.
- Current certification is Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Basic computer skill preferred.
We are seeking a full-time Recreational Therapist to work full-time (40 hours/week), Monday- Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm.
Under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse, the Recreational Therapist continually monitors and maintains a safe and therapeutic milieu for the patient population and carries out the patient’s treatment plan within the scope of their job responsibilities. Primary responsibilities include planning and implementation of the unit’s activity therapy program, documenting patient group participation and attendance, and documentation of patient information pertinent to the treatment plan, and assisting with patient emergencies. The Recreational Therapist is an integral part of the treatment team.
