Quanex Building Products, a manufacturer of quality screen, roll formed metal components, metal embedded co-extrusions, vinyl extrusions, and fabricated assemblies servicing a variety of industries is seeking a position for a Mill Operator. Perform duties to setup and operate extrusion or roll form equipment and adjust equipment to maintain close tolerances and sizes.
- Must perform minor maintenance work on equipment.
- Must perform minor setup activities with tooling on the rollformer and cutoff and/or be able to maintain quality standards involved with all open-loop operations and maintain their performance by monitoring, and adjusting mill speeds, die return pressures, cutoff parameters, and cylinder line pressures.
- Must be able to run unique profiles at or above standard with acceptable quality control.
Use all precision measuring instruments, gages, fixtures, machinists’ common hand tools, appropriate material handling equipment.
Must be perform and document all quality checks as required.
Must work overtime on short notice, as required.
