Internal Sales/Customer Service Representative

 We require a pro-active and resourceful Internal Sales Representative to join the dynamic team in Dyersville with full training provided. Reporting directly to the National Sales Manager and supporting the sales team, we are looking for an enthusiastic person willing to learn all accepts of sales in a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be deeply passionate about customer service and have an ability to multitask in a fast and exciting industry and who will leave lasting impressions on all they meet.

Main duties include:

  • Service customer requirements by taking and addressing direct sales that come through to the branch
  • Efficiently & effectively Process internal sales orders.
  • Liaise effectively and professionally with team members from planning, production and dispatch to ensure all sales orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
  • Act as part of a central point of information by being the link between the branch and the external sales representatives
  • Practice sound dealer management of your designated dealers to ensure maximum value is returned
  • Answer phone enquiries promptly and ensure that all are dealt with efficiently.
  • Process orders and manage supply to customers ensuring that best delivery practice is being met; monitor stock levels in relevant branch and enter sales order information accordingly.
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure customer requirements are met, namely planning, dispatch and technical service departments.
  • Keep customers updated throughout the order and Dispatch process ensuring customers are notified of any delays prior to their expected delivery date.
  • Provide sales support to field sales representatives by delivering lead time information, brochures, product updates, contact information, consignment and returns.
  • Advise customers of best application, quote accordingly using company CRM, and ensure quotes are being followed up and status updated.
  • Build effective customer relations by understanding your customers and learning their business opportunities.
  • Perform cold calls in line with sales requirements, after sales service and business opportunities.
  • Update the CRM to reflect opportunities, history, qualified leads and service call information. Contact information must be updated accordingly.
  • Use Digga Wiki to gain product knowledge as a first point of information.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell products and generate leads.
  • Ensure all new accounts are established with credit applications fully completed and COD goods are not released until payment received.
  • To seek authority from your manager for any changes to pricing being quoted to customers.
  • Build and continue product knowledge based on material received, live demonstrations, internet, Digga wiki, CRM and brochures.
  • Familiarize and align yourself with Digga’s selling techniques and sales business model.
  • Maintain a continual development and up to date knowledge of the Digga product range
  • Support customer administrative requirements
  • Develop effective relationships with dealers and provide ongoing support
  • Assisting sales team and dealers on all orders, stock and delivery status
  • Coordinate and maintain display and/or demo stock
  • Managing major debtor accounts in a full function capacity
  • Creation and management of credit stock returns
  • Maintain records of customer interactions and history
  • Remain as a back-up for shipping/logistics when required including scheduling shipments and related data entry.

 To be successful for this role:

  • High school certificate.
  • Diploma or equivalent experience in sales and customer service.
  • Experience in a similar role and a desire and passion for customer service
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confident personality, professional attitude and well-presented appearance
  • Component in computer systems; ERP, CRM, Outlook email, Word and Excel.
  • Experience with an ERP (Lawson or Movex, SAP ) an advantage
  • Highly organized and ability to time manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Highly motivated and self-directed with a commitment to achieving results
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated desire to work in a customer service environment going above and beyond to satisfy the customer.
  • Must demonstrate the desire to perform in a professional manner as a team member as well as to give inputs on activities that will help complete project assignments in a timely and efficient manner while upholding the quality and safety standards.
