UnityPoint Health Finley Hospital is a 126-bed community hospital. We employ more than 800 full-and-part-time employees. We are looking for a candidate to work on the weekends in the Geriatric Behavioral Health department. Work hours will be every Saturday and Sunday, 6:45 am - 7:15 pm, for 48 hours per pay period, and as needed. You will receive a 15% incentive for working on the weekends.
Our Behavioral Health unit is an inpatient hospital program providing psychiatric services to individuals age 55 and older who are experiencing behavioral health issues. It consists of 9 beds and provides coordinated, personalized care for each patient. Our program therapy helps individuals care for themselves better and follow their primary care provider's directions, particularly about taking medicines.
Provides nursing care for patients with actual or potential health care problems using the nursing process. Plans and directs the nursing care for individuals, patients, groups of patients and their families, coordinating care in collaboration with other health care professionals. Duties include performing physical exams and health histories, providing health promotion and education, administering medications, wound care, and numerous other personalized interventions.
Must hold an active LPN license to practice in the state of Iowa.
