The Supply Chain Financial Analyst will prepare the analysis and reporting of profitability to business unit leadership. Analyze sales and margin to identify business growth opportunities and cost savings. Provide guidance to leadership regarding outcomes of various courses of action.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Influence the sales organization towards more profitable product pricing, customer programs, product mix, and freight programs.
Channel new product development efforts to ensure long term profitability. Provide profitability impact of inclusion or exclusion of assorted product attributes.
Guide domestic and international supplier selection to ensure profitability and long term viability.
Analyze marketing promotions to determine growth and profit implications over the short and long term.
Investigate anomalies in profitability, discover root cause for variances, report to business unit leadership, and provide possible courses of action.
Understand and apply appropriate levers of profitability to various business models: small businesses, ecommerce, big box retailers, and commercial dealers.
Partner with Senior Analysts and collaborate with peers to complete special projects while effectively managing multiple priorities.
Self-starter with demonstrated problem-solving, analytical, written communication, and verbal communication skills
Ability to complete projects and tasks independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
1-3 years of experience with financial data analysis or manufacturing accounting preferred
Proficient in MS Excel and previous experience with SAP is preferred
- 10% domestic travel is required
