UnityPoint Health Finley Hospital is a 126-bed community hospital. We employ more than 800 full-and-part-time employees. Work hours will be Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, for 80 hours per pay period, and as needed. You will be required to flex to other shifts as needed.
Centralized Scheduling – Consistently taking calls from physicians, clinical staff, and patients and ensuring that the caller’s needs are met in a timely and efficient manner. Obtains all required patient demographic and financial information using designated procedures. Schedules and sequences all outpatient diagnostic testing and/or procedures. Verifies medical necessity by checking ICD 9/10 or CPT diagnosis codes against the test scheduled. Reviews insurance plans for pre-certification requirements and obtains authorizations for designated tests and outpatient surgical procedures to ensure maximum financial reimbursement. Pre-registers outpatient accounts for scheduled patients and advises/collects from patient estimated liability.
Requirement: High School Diploma or GED, 1-3 years Clinical Experience, and Medical Terminology Preferred: Vocational/Technical or Associate Degree
