This position assists the Compliance Manager and SQF Practitioner to ensure PSSI Chemical Innovations is compliant to regulatory and customer requirements.

To perform a Compliance Assistant role, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Job Responsibilities Include but not Limited to:
Compliance Responsibilities
• Creating, uploading and updating product documentation (ex. Safety Data Sheets, Letters of Guarantee, Technical Sheets) and forms into web-based browsers
• Verifying proper forms are being filed correctly and promptly.
• Filing document and forms either physically or electronically.
• Assist in updating Safety Programs/Policies and Safety Committee minutes.
• Monitor and track training logs.
• Send updated product documentation to customers via zip files.
• Assist and maintain monthly inspection logs (ex. eyewash inspection, SPCC inspection, hazardous waste inspection, emergency lighting inspection).
• Print and put together SDS books as well as create and laminate secondary container labels.
• Compose emails in a professional manner.
• Other Duties as assigned by the Compliance Manager
SQF Responsibilities
• Creating, uploading and updating documents and forms into Safety Chain.
• Verifying proper SQF forms are being filed correctly and promptly.
• Inspecting SQF logs to check for completeness and any non-conformities
• Completing and submitting daily, weekly, monthly GMP inspections.
• Filing SQF document and logs either physically or electronically.
• Investigate non-conforming product/ equipment professionally and promptly.
• Monitor and track SQF and GMP training logs.
• Track and trend CQP data and product test results.
• Organize and update SQF policies/programs.
• Act as meeting administrator during Food Safety and Quality Meetings.
• Compose emails in a professional manner.
• Other Duties as assigned by the SQF Practitioner.

Ability to read, write, add and subtract. General working knowledge of computers/technology (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook).

High School Degree or its Equivalent, Phone Skills, People Skills, Professional, Detail Oriented, Safety Oriented, Accountable, Approachable, Independent Thinker, Driven, Honest. Background in Health and Safety a plus. General Chemistry knowledge a plus.
