Position Summary:

The Department of Industrial Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville invites applications for a Lecturer in Industrial Technology Management and/or Construction Management. This is a full-time, 9-month basis, benefit eligible position, with an anticipated start date of January 7, 2021.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

- Bachelor’s Degree in at least one area listed above,

- extensive years of industrial related professional experience in a closely related field OR five years of teaching experience in manufacturing and/or construction processes. If the position is to be extended, a masters degree is required.

- Demonstrable oral and written communication skills

- Dedication to undergraduate education

- Demonstrated understanding of theories and an ability to teach using technology and machines/equipment in a hands-on laboratory or industrial setting

- Demonstrated ability to interact with industry professionals

- Enthusiasm for professional engagement with students in and out of the classroom

- Ability to work with colleagues in a collegial environment to prepare grants, conduct research, and seek external funding
