This position will serve in a regional capacity to MercyOne facilities in both Clinton, IA and Dubuque, IA. Time will be split between both facilities, with primary physical location in Clinton, IA. The Colleague Relations Partner will provide guidance and recommendations concerning colleague relations issues with a focus on enabling the achievement of Trinity Health's Strategic Aims to realize a person-centered, mission-focused colleague culture. The Colleague Relations Partner will promote and foster a fair, positive and collaborative working environment aligned with the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values. Will support the implementation and management of colleague relations policies, processes, and programs. Will manage, resolve and trend colleague relations matters, including responding to internal colleague complaints/concerns, implementing colleague relations initiatives/projects and conducting/ documenting investigations and then making appropriate and objective recommendations to management. Ensures HR compliance and consistency in the administration, application, and delivery of colleague relations policies and services; partners with key internal customers as directed including Risk Management, Legal Services, and Integrity and Compliance. Maintains advanced knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws/regulations; the Trinity Health Integrity and Compliance Program and Code of Conduct; as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behavior. Will report directly to Regional Director of Human Resources.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field is required with three (3) or more years of experience in Human Resources/Colleague Relations; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Direct people management/leadership experience a plus. Must have strong knowledge of state and federal employment laws/regulations with the ability to respond effectively in variable situations requiring analytical, interpretive, evaluative and constructive thinking abilities. Strong logical and deductive reasoning abilities needed with demonstrated interpersonal skills and communication skills. Must be able to interact effectively with multiple levels of the organization and have a proven customer-service orientation. Must be able to exercise sound judgment along with discretion and maintaining the highest degree of confidentiality with extremely sensitive information and data. Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health.
