Loading Dock Technician - 1st Shift (W6)

As a Loading Dock Technician, you are responsible for the safe and efficient checking in and handling of all material that passes through the receiving dock. This is a full-time, evaluation-to-hire position on 1st shift, Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM overtime as needed and Saturday schedule. If you have experience as a Dock Worker, Forklift Operator or Receiving Associate this may be an opportunity for you! 
Essential Duties:  Essential job duties for this position include the following items. Other duties must be performed as assigned or required.
  • Operate all material handling equipment in a safe & efficient manner (forklift, etc.)
  • Load and Unload trailers
  • Check-in and receive all inbound freight
  • Maintain records / complete paperwork using electronic truck log on system
  • Maintain a safe and orderly storage arrangement for all items handled
  • Maintain cleanliness in assigned area
  • Comply with all OSHA and site-specific safety and PPE requirements
  • Work toward continuous quality improvement
  • Stay current with changing technology
  • Uphold, support, and promote all company policies and procedures
Reporting to this position:  No direct reports
Qualifications:  To perform this job successfully, the Loading Dock Technician must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following requirements are representative of the minimum knowledge, skills and ability required.
  • High School Diploma, GED or continuing education
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Tools)
  • SAP software/RF scan gun experience/knowledge
