MercyOne Medical Center is a not for profit Catholic hospital serving the tri-state area of Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin since 1879.  MercyOne – Dubuque has 263 beds while MercyOne – Dyersville is a critical access hospital with 25 beds and a 40-bed nursing home.

MercyOne Birth Center is proud to have three diverse units working together as a cohesive team to bring comprehensive care to families in the birthing unit. Staff are comprised of nurses and unit secretaries. Colleagues are goal-oriented, team players that continually support each other and the different departments within the service line. All colleagues are trained to care for postpartum patients in addition to their specialty unit. NICU nurses are cross-trained to pediatrics; and birth center staff are encourage to cross-train as well.

• must hold an active Registered Nurse license to practice in the state of Iowa

• a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required within 4 years of hire (tuition assistance provided as an employment benefit)

Part of this position would be spent in the NICU department. Required to work every third weekend and every third holiday. Will be cross trained to care for postpartum moms and newborns, and trained to care for patients in the Pediatric department. Required to become NRP certified in first six months.
