COUNSELOR
Divine Word College, a Roman Catholic College
Seminary in Epworth, Iowa, is seeking a
Full-time or Part-Time Counselor for an academic
year position (August - May 2021-2022
and is renewable thereafter).
The counselor is responsible for providing a wide range
of counseling services to the college campus community.
Specifically, the counselor meets with all new students to
assess student needs, provides walk-in service to those seeking
counseling assistance, offers any necessary testing or provides
coordinates with external referral sources, and provides
on-campus programs as needed.
Qualifications: Master’s degree in counseling or related field,
such as an MSW; currently licensed in the State of Iowa or
is qualified to seek licensure in the state as a mental health
therapist or independent social worker or equivalent is preferred.
Experience working in a college setting is helpful; must have
knowledge of the Catholic tradition and commitment to the
College’s mission; which is to live and work in a multi-cultural
student and faculty community.
Salary is commensurate with experience.
