The university is currently seeking a qualified individual to assume the role of day cook. This position assists with planning, organizing, controlling and supervising of food production functions. Essential duties include, but are not limited to complying with all portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies and procedures, insuring the production of consistently high quality foods; monitoring production to avoid potential waste of food and labor, loss of quality; and maintaining high standards and quality of sanitary conditions and safety.
High school diploma (or equivalent) with three years of experience in food preparation/cooking preferred. Working knowledge of food service equipment/measurements required. Must be able to work in a fast paced, team oriented environment. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Valid driver’s license required. ServSafe sanitation certified required or must be obtained within one year.
