Job Overview

The University of Dubuque is a growing faith based University that is seeking a Report Writer and Process Developer.  The University of Dubuque offers an excellent benefits package including tuition remission, paid holidays, vacation and sick time, and a retirement match. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop and correct procedures for monitoring accuracy and quality of data
  • Write and maintain stored procedures and functions to extract, transform and report on data
  • Design, develop and generate reports to meet the needs of users across campus
  • Create forms and workflows to assist in improving processes and data flow between and within departments across campus
  • Document all procedures so they can be understood and supported by other team members
  • Provide recommendations and technical expertise regarding data in all University systems
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of the University’s Mission

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required; Bachelor’s degree with computer emphasis is preferred
  • Must have a strong understanding of relational database applications
  • Strong understanding of process and workflow development
  • Experience with TSQL in developing SQL scripts, procedures and functions is required
  • Experience using report writers, preferably SQL Server Reporting Services is required
  • Effective problem solving and analytical skills
  • Must be self-motivated and highly responsible
  • Ability to work independently as well as work collaboratively with others, and to be an effective team member
