The university is currently seeking a qualified individual to join our facilities team in the role of General Maintenance.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Delivers packages, packaged goods, furniture, etc…to various locations.
  • Performs general maintenance, including but not restricted to:
    1. Changing light bulbs/ballast
    2. Replacing ceiling tile
    3. Making minor plumbing repairs
    4. Replacing, repairing, and assisting in the installation of carpet, floor tile, and vinyl sheet goods.
    5. Assembling and maintaining furniture, equipment, and fixtures both indoors and outdoors
    6. Installing and/or replacing useable goods dispensers
    7. Minor repairs to windows including screens, locks, and glass.
  • Assist in setting and breaking special events
  • Carries on call pager in rotation with other maintenance personnel
  • Cleans snow from assigned areas
  • Grounds work as directed by manager
  • Painting duties as directed by manager

Qualifications include:

The successful candidate must have:

  • High school diploma and/or GED, and four years general maintenance experience in an institutional/industrial setting.
