Onsite/Remote: Onsite Position
Your Responsibilities
As a Four-Wheel Drive Loader (4WDL) Product Engineer II for John Deere located in Dubuque, Iowa, you will:
- Design structures and sheet metal for Production Class 4WDL’s that are manufactured in Davenport, IA
- Develop and evaluate design solutions for new Product Development Programs that meet machine performance, structural component goals, cost targets, and schedules
- Lead Integrated Systems Development Process (ISDP) projects for 4WDL products that support future portfolio needs
- Contribute to product design guidelines, design books, DTW’s, and engineering analysis procedures for 4WDL's

What Skills You Need
- 2 or more years of experience with the design and manufacturing of structures and/or sheet metal components
- Demonstrated experience and ability to analyze technical data, consider multiple alternatives, and provide data driven decisions / recommendations
- Experience working with vendors, suppliers, and contract engineering firms
- Demonstrated strong communication skills with ability to work with other functional areas such as manufacturing, quality, supply management, etc.
- Demonstrated experience managing several projects simultaneously
What Makes You Stand Out
- Experience with PDMLink, SAP, and 3D modeling tools, such as Creo
- Cross-functional experience related to PV&V, FEA, and/or manufacturing teams
- Experience with composite materials and processes
- Experience as a Team Lead, Integration Lead, or Subject Matter Expert
- Master’s degree in an Engineering discipline
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering degree
