Primary Location: United States (US) - Iowa (US-IA) - Dubuque 
Function: Product Engineering
Title: Product Engineer, Operator Station - 56381 

Your Responsibilities

As a Product Engineer, Operator Station for John Deere Construction & Forestry Division, located in Dubuque, IA, you will be responsible for the Cab design on a Construction Equipment Product Line.  In addition, you will:

  • Participate in or lead the Product Delivery Process team as a Design Lead, ensuring design activities and plans are formulated and followed
  • Lead the Interiors and Components Design for the Cabs on one Product Line
  • Participate on internal teams to drive methodology, processes, and tools to design Cab Interiors and Components
  • Provide problem solving for Cab Interiors and Components on new product development and current production
  • Provide occasional support for projects in China, Brazil and India

What Skills You Need

  • 1 or more years of engineering experience performing analysis, testing and/or design work for a defined portion of a project
  • Experience with the design and manufacturing of plastics and composites
  • Intermediate FEA skills
  • Basic understanding of ADV Testing
  • Intermediate Creo (Pro-E) and PDM Link skills
  • Ability to write Product Requirement Documents
  • Strong problem solving skills with ability to be self-directed and motivated

 

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Good understanding with operator ergonomics design criteria
  • Experience with plastic manufacturing processes
  • Good understanding of Construction, Forestry, or Agricultural Equipment Applications

 

Education (or equivalent work experience)

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or Equivalent
