Under the direction of the Production Supervisor or Manufacturing representative, assembles or sub-assembles, hones, tests and packages all mechanical and electrical components in the Industrial Product/Agriculture production lines.

Summary of Basic FunctionPaint and pack parts and products in standard and non-standard boxes or crates for domestic and foreign shipments to conform to specifications and requirements.

Required Education, Experience, Training and KnowledgeRequires forklift truck operation certification (other material handling equipment as needed; will train); knowledge of HUSCO product lines; understanding of material handling methods, sound and efficient packaging techniques, and space utilization concepts; mathematical and record keeping skills as are acquired in a high school education or equivalent.

Essential Functions of the PositionPaint and pack parts.  Use HUSCO business systems (via desk top or handheld PC) to conduct inventory transfer functions and to view routings, part or assembly drawings, work instructions, schedules, etc.  Care is required to hang parts on paint line and to place products in shipping containers properly, to select products from order schedules, visually check product for obvious defects and prepare shipments.  Care is required to follow shipping instructions, and to improvise on standard packing procedures when necessary to accommodate specific orders.  Frequent lifting of 50 pounds in a fast paced environment.

Marginal Functions of the PositionWill be required to perform any paint line function or lift truck driver functions.  May load and unload trucks including load verification and completion of associated paper work.

Environment in Which Work is DoneShop environment may have exposure to oil, fumes, metals particles and can become hot during the summer months.  Safety shoes and safety glasses are required.  Work week consists of a minimum of 40 hours per week.
