The Dubuque County Historical Society operates the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium, National Rivers Hall of Fame, the Mathias Ham House Historical Site, and the Dubuque Guide Service. The Museum & Aquarium serves over 200,000 people a year, including several thousand more each year at its historic sites and tours, telling the story of the Mississippi River and the History of the Dubuque and Tri-state area.

The National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium (NMRMA) is seeking candidates for the Cashier Associate Positions. An ideal candidate is someone with exceptional service skills, feels comfortable interacting with guests, delivers accurate information to guests, works well on a team, and positively portrays the organization. This position offers working a flexible schedule and does require weekend and holiday hours. Multiple positions available in Retail, Café Counter, Box Office, and 3D/4D Theater.
- We are seeking energetic, motivated, positive people to join the fast-paced fun environment that is created with a trip to the museum. Join us as the face of the organization by being the first people guests see when they arrive. Begin their experience by being a positive fun interaction, enhance their experience by providing a refreshment, or end their experience with a souvenir.
- Highly qualified candidates would have previous experience in customer service, cash handling, sales, and guest interaction, although not required. Excellent communication skill and decision making will help someone succeed in this position.
- Competitive pay beginning at $9.00 per hour. Varied shift lengths during our operating hours of 9-6 during the summer. As an employee of The National Mississippi River Museum, you will receive a membership to the museum and discounts at our museum stores.
