The university is currently seeking a qualified individual to assume the role of Transfer Counselor. This position is instrumental in representing Clarke University in various contexts as part of the enrollment process.
Essential duties include, but are not limited to:
- Prioritize travel to community colleges and other recruitment events and attend all that are expected to yield significant activity.
- Conduct individual campus visit appointments with students and families. Give presentations to groups both while travelling or on campus as needed.
- Evaluate student files against established criteria and make admissions decisions. Decide on academic and scholarship allocations when applicable.
- Work with registrar’s office on updating course equivalencies and articulation agreements.
- Develop best in class strategies and marketing plans to target new transfer populations.
Qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree along with demonstrated experience in working with various constituencies including prospective students, parents and high school personnel. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to the educational mission of a Catholic, liberal arts university community. Extremely strong written and oral communication skills are required along with the ability to speak in front of groups of people comfortably. Travel is required for this position.
