Human Resources Specialist - HRIS

Mercy Medical Center, Dubuque, IA

This position will be primarily responsible for the maintenance of the HRIS System.  Will assist Recruiters and Compensation/Benefits Coordinator. This position includes significant amounts of data entry including new hire data entry.  Will run multiple reports, create effective spreadsheets and analyze data to provide statistical information for reporting and trending.  Will develop and prepare a variety of reports, charts and graphs. Will assist with tracking and analysis of data identifying trends and HR related metrics. Will perform varied general administrative and clerical activities related to recruitment, benefits and compensation. Will assist in administration of compensation and benefits programs. 

The incumbent deals with highly confidential and sensitive issues relating to people and organizations and must be highly professional.  Must ensure that services are provided in a manner that supports continuous quality improvement and customer-oriented focus. 

Bachelor's degree required or must obtain within four (4) years of hire.  Previous experience in human resources, benefits/compensation or payroll experience required.  Human Resources Information Systems experience required including reporting experience.  Demonstrated proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required.  Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training is required within 6 months of hire.
