Director of Programming and Marketing Liaison

1. Manage and directly supervise Business and Community Solutions programming staff.
2. Responsible for program management, including curriculum design, titles, instructor recruitment, production and promotion costs, prices, locations, delivery method, times and other logistics, and other guidelines requirements.
3. Provide leadership in strengthening existing programs and developing new programs for BCS including Career Pathways.
4. Responsible for finances and budgeting for upcoming classes and events, financial analysis and controlling financial figures.
5. Conduct needs assessment, assist with recruitment of new instructors, and analyzing existing courses and programs.
6. Analyze information supplied by operations professionals, as well as doing environmental scanning of college and community.
7. Responsible for program marketing plans, including working with the NICC Marketing team on promotion methods and means, market research, surveys, publicity and market analysis.
8. Oversight of Genoo software and e-marketing campaigns and initiatives.
9. Oversight of Social media promotions and campaigns for Business and Community Solutions.
10. Be a direct liaison to the NICC Marketing Team to assist with BCS program and special events promotions/ marketing strategy.
11. Collaborate with the NICC Marketing and BCS operations staff in the development and design of the BCS Catalog.
12. Work closely with the college marketing department to solidify marketing pieces to make sure all forms are complete and content is accurate before arriving in the marketing department for production.
13. Develop and implement training solutions appropriate to the client and setting.
14. Update personal job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
15. Collaborate with internal college departments as assigned to develop, implement, and maintain appropriate training and development programs..
16. Provide direction to programming staff on financial stability of programs, community need and relevance of programs, and future programming direction.
17. Responsible for implementation of policies, procedures, integration and any changes in Lumens or LERN models as it pertains to programming and promotions.
18. Be accountable for Open Enrollment benchmarks such as new offerings, operating margin, and cancellation rate.
19. Be accountable for the implementation of at least one new revenue stream/initiative a year. A new revenue stream would be generating 5%+ of your revenue within three years.

1. Bachelor’s degree required. Preference for degree and/or coursework in sales, adult learning, business, human resources, leadership and development, education, or related field.
2. Minimum of three years’ experience in training, program or curriculum development and/ or marketing related industry.
3. Must have exemplary presentation skills including the ability to capture audience attention, read the mood of the room and adjust accordingly, manage timing appropriately, and answer questions knowledgeably but succinctly.
4. Strong planning and project management skills and ability to apply these skills in effective working partnerships across organizational lines and with business partners.
5. Excellent oral/written communication skills, including group facilitation.
6. Excellent interpersonal skills, including leadership, influencing, and relationship-building across functions.
7. Ability to work with management to align learning/leadership development with succession planning initiatives.
8. Ability to organize/prioritize work, manage multiple tasks and projects and function effectively as a self-directed leader of multiple initiatives.
9. Knowledge of and ability to integrate technology in training solutions.
10. Demonstrate a strong customer orientation.
11. Experience in coaching and providing training for employees and managers is desirable.

Must possess Iowa driver’s license.
