Defined Contribution/Benefit Data Specialist

Responsible for performing a variety of analytical functions associated with onboarding and providing support for more complex defined contribution, defined benefit, and non-qualified plans. Specific responsibilities include plan set-up, data automation, payroll set-up, plan maintenance and loading transition data to Prudential systems. Incumbents work closely with Data Managers and assist with the more complex technical problems/issues.  



-Passport/OMNI/DBRK plan set up for complex NB plans

-Plan Maintenance Inquiry

-New Plan Payroll Set Up - Complex and Standard

-New Plan Participant Set Up

-Plan to Plan Spinoffs and Mergers

-Test file review

-Change in payroll remittance method 

-Data Automation

-Ability to support and perform multiple tasks across multiple functions

-Ability to identify data needs and support process and procedure improvements

-Subject matter expert support on outside activities and global plan level projects

-Demonstrates strong leadership skills including ability to assist with maintaining high team climate and    fostering change

-Demonstrates strong initiative and willingness to improve technical expertise

-Ability to consistently meet quality and production standards and adhere to standard operating procedures

-Manages assignments with little to no oversight required and has a strong ability to prioritize and work under tight deadlines

-Perform a variety of analytical functions associated to simple and complex activities



  • 3+ year of Retirement industry and/or financial services experience required
  • Prefer college degree, or equivalent customer service and operation experience in fast-paced financial environment
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
  • Prudential Retirement Services product offering or related retirement industry products and services knowledge a plus
  • Strong communication skills and ability to foster relationships with internal and external partners
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with others
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Shows initiative and is results oriented
  • Strong time management with the ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • knowledge of Prudential retirement systems DC/DB Recordkeeping systems is a plus
