Assistant Professor - Exercise Science

University Of Wisconsin-Platteville, Platteville, WI

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Health and Human Performance with an anticipated start date of August 2018.

Qualifications:

The position requires the completion of or demonstrated progress toward a Ph. D., Ed. D., or ABD in Exercise Science or related field. The terminal degree must be completed prior to employment date. Expertise in mentoring exercise science research and instruction and three or more years’ experience teaching at the university level is preferred. Candidates should have experience working with an undergraduate population and be willing to engage undergraduates in research lines.  The candidate should demonstrate strong verbal, written and pedagogical skills.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include teaching department major courses such as: Physiology of Exercise, Kinesiology, and Athletic Training and may include some of the following courses: Nutrition, Injury Prevention and Treatment, Strength and Conditioning. Additional department responsibilities will include academic advising, undergraduate research and committee involvement in the University and community service.
