Medical Associates Clinic offers several locations from which to seek medical care, including facilities at 1500 Associates Drive, 1000 Langworthy, and 1940 Elm Street in Dubuque, Iowa; as well as facilities in Bellevue, Cascade, Dyersville, Elkader, and Monona, Iowa; Cuba City, and Platteville, Wisconsin; and Elizabeth and Galena, Illinois.
Medical Associates Clinic is a physician owned multi-specialty group practice. Our 100+ physicians and 900 health care professionals lead the way in providing quality healthcare in Northeast Iowa, Southwest Wisconsin and Northwest Illinois. We currently have a need for a Nurse Practitioner in our Dubuque, Iowa location.
This is a full-time position working in our Hospitalist group within Mercy Hospital. The position will work a seven (7) day rotation - 7 days on and 7 days off, which includes weekends and holidays. Hours are approximately 8:00am - 6:00pm. Candidates must be a licensed ARNP.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Provide direct medical care in the hospital skilled unit under the direction of supervising physicians; including but not limited to: obtaining histories, physical exams, ordering and interpreting appropriate lab and x-ray studies, and consulting with physician on treatment plan. Provide patient education to promote wellness and support disease management process.
Assist with physician overflow patients from other hospital areas which may include medical, surgical, cardiac and intensive care unit.
Assist physicians with Emergency Room admissions as needed.
Complete all other assigned projects and duties.
