Medical Associates is looking for an HR Manager of Physician and Staff Recruiting that wants to be part of a fast-paced talent acquisition team that can identify, attract, source and select the right candidates to support our mission of providing superior health care and an excellent patient experience.
Develops and manages the process of physician and advanced practice provider recruitment including sourcing, recruitment, interviewing, new hire on-boarding and pre-arrival preparation. Also provides leadership for non-provider staff recruiting and related processes. Develops relationships with programs, travels to program sites, recruitment fairs, etc. as appropriate, conducts screening and on-site interviews. Partners closely with CHRO, HR Managers and other clinic leaders and physicians to forecast succession planning and upcoming needs. Consistently represents the organization internally and externally in a positive, professional manner. Promotes positive interpersonal relations and provides strong leadership for team.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for developing and managing the process of physician and advanced practice provider recruitment including but not limited to: developing position profiles and practice opportunity descriptions, sourcing candidates through multiple media including but not limited to internet sources, developing and placing advertising developing relationships with program directors, targeting practicing physicians and residents, etc. Reviewing and prescreening CVs in partnership with Department Chairs. Assures verification of appropriate credentials and educational background. Pre-screens candidates to determine suitability for specific openings and ensures interview process and itinerary is well-coordinated by staff. Maintains awareness of status of individual searches. Conducts screening and onsite interviews. Works with CHRO in assisting with the employment agreement offering process. Assists with pre-arrival preparation and onboarding process. Where appropriate ensures that visa requirements are satisfied.
Oversees the work of the HR Recruitment Specialist and HR Recruitment Coordinator. Ensures that these team members are appropriately trained and are effectively satisfying organizational search priorities. Determines work processes and responsibilities within the team and ensures that appropriate cross-training and back up support is in place for all hiring processes.
Responsible for developing and managing the staff recruiting processes and ensuring the HR Recruitment Specialist is fulfilling search needs for all departments. Partner with other HR managers on the team to determine which searches will be handled by HR Recruitment Specialist and agree upon appropriate timelines for placement.
Ensures fair and legally compliant hiring processes are utilized that result in the strongest and best fit candidates joining the MA team. Responsible for ensuring appropriate reference checking, background checks, drug testing and pre-employment physicals and all other effective hiring processes are followed.
Knowledge & Skills:
Experience - Five years to ten years of similar or related experience.
Education - Equivalent to a college degree. Masters Degree Preferred.
Interpersonal Skills - A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.
